Brian Willingham
Brian Willingham is the master at the art of real estate sales and negotiation. Over the past 5+ years, his creation, The WILLINGHAM TEAM, has grown from a small, one man operation to one of the most successful real estate teams in the county. Locals, buyers from out of state, and investors alike all flock to The WILLINGHAM TEAM for its infamous customer service and its phenomenal sales record.
The WILLINGHAM TEAM's most recent expansion, included the move from San Francisco based Pacific Union Real Estate to the SF East Bay based Empire Realty Associates. Empire Realty has more than doubled in size in the past two years which is a testament to Empire's drive and entrepreneurial spirit.
Willingham, hailing from Pennsylvania and armed with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla and a Masters degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania packed up and moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area 1998. Despite a slew of job offers centered in the Midwest and on the East Coast that would have placed him in exciting industry positions, Willingham was determined to head west. "The move to the Bay Area was a disappointment to a lot of my professors and to my parents," admits Willingham, who did technology planning for SBC during his first months on the West Coast.
Pursuing a new career in Internet technologies, Willingham had a brief stint as a product developer before eventually becoming a Director at SBC (now AT&T). Shortly thereafter in 2001, Willingham set out on his own, and with a small group of friends began the acquisition of a network integration firm in the Monterey Bay Area. The company was sold in 2002 and Willingham returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where he worked on numerous freelance consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies.
Fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit and the then-booming real estate market, Willingham started in real estate and his business instantly took off. Today, The WILLINGHAM TEAM is known by many as their "Realtor for life," where customers can relax in the knowledge that they have entrusted their most valuable asset to a proven professional.
In June 2006, Brian and the rest of The WILLINGHAM TEAM entered an entirely new and exciting phase in its partnership with the SF East Bay based-Empire Realty Associates, which has fast become one of the pivotal players in the East Bay real estate scene. Willingham continues to play the lead role in the operation and expansion of The WILLINGHAM TEAM, as well as being a significant participant in and contributor to the community that has been loyal to his business. He is active in Habitat for Humanity, Adopt an Angel, the Human Rights Campaign; as well as the Burlingame Juventus youth soccer team, to which he donates every year, so less fortunate children can travel with the nationally ranked team.
